Listers Group is one of the largest family-owned automotive businesses in the UK. Since 1979, when the first business opened, the focus has always been to put the customer first. Over 40 years later, this focus has helped the business grow to more than 50 dealerships and service centres representing 18 of the most recognised and prestigious brands.
A Frontier Software customer since 2003, the Group were using an on-premise chris Payroll and HR system. However, to ensure enhanced security for employee and pay data, a project was started to move to a hosted solution. The goals for the project were:
- Reducing risks of data loss
- Quick recovery times (critical for payroll)
- Maintaining sufficient, secure data storage
When it came to selecting a provider, the decision was an easy one, as Elaine Cox, Payroll and Benefits Manager explains: “We have used Frontier Software for 18 years and chris has proven to be an excellent payroll system, backed up by a friendly and helpful support team. For example, on one occasion a change was needed to the way an element was working within chris and, in a short space of time, the Frontier team made it possible”.
The goals for the project were met, with responsibility for installing upgrades, updates and fixes passing to Frontier Software. Plus, down time is kept to the absolute minimum.
