We are delighted to announce that Frontier Software has outperformed all competitors to win the coveted Gold Medal for the Payroll Systems Category in the 2017 HRD Magazine Service Provider Awards. In addition, we placed third for HRIS solutions.
Payroll operates in a highly regulated environment and success means being on the crest of the wave, both from an industry trend and statutory compliance perspective. Put simply, payroll vendors have to get it right.
When asked how it felt to win Gold in this category and Bronze in the HRIS category, Nick Southcombe, Frontier Software’s CEO, replied: “Firstly, humble; it is a competitive marketplace with many of our competitors offering quality products and services”. As one judge added, “Frontier Software has an impressive commitment to reinvesting back into R&D to remain leading edge. They also have a commitment to engaging and listening to customer requirements. The flexibility built into the system and the ease of scalability is unique.” Frontier Software’s HRIS solution was meanwhile applauded for covering the full gamut of the employee lifecycle, and having a user friendly self service interface. It also offers full integration with payroll systems, which the judges noted is not offered by many systems.
Southcombe believes what helped put Frontier Software over the line with judges was the fact that it is a local player. “We are Australian founded and owned with a great presence here. Our product is developed here in Australia but offers a global, integrated HR and Payroll solution.”
The Australian Payroll Association has also recognised Frontier Software as the number 1 provider of payroll services to organisations with 500 - 1999 and 2000 – 9999 employees for the 3rd consecutive year.
These are achievements of which we are justifiably proud, especially when you consider that we continue to consistently acquire new clients every year and maintain a client retention rate of 98% per annum.
Frontier Software is well-regarded for its capacity to support best practice payroll processes for clients within Australia and the rest of the world. It is respected for its capacity to embed rigour and automation across payroll processes, empowering payroll teams to focus on strategic and value-add activities. Importantly, the database is multi-country, multi-currency and multi-language, offering a single source of truth across a client’s entire organisation.
As Pauline Richman, Payroll Manager at Carl Zeiss Group says, “Using multi-country database has simplified the payroll process of our overseas employees. Producing payroll reports from one database is an additional benefit”. But that’s just part of the reason Frontier Software has achieved its growth, retention rates and recognition as a market leader. At the heart of the solution is the recognised capacity to deliver robust, capable payroll and HR functionality.
Underpinning all of the solutions is a simple fact. Since its inception back in 1985, Frontier Software has been a trusted partner, assisting its clients in managing their risk. We continue to succeed because of the depth and capability of our solution and our unwavering commitment to customer service. The awards and recognition, whilst humbling and gratifying, are simply the result of what we do and how we do it and the journey has only just begun.
